We offer impermeable, durable and deformation resistant bitumen mastic. Our bitumen mastic is a homogeneous mortar, which is a mixture of high-grade bitumen, mineral fillers and fine aggregates. Its consistency is such that it flows like highly viscose fluid at a temperature of about 200 degree Celsius but on cooling down it becomes hard.

LAYING OF BITUMEN MASTIC ASPHALT MIX ON PRETREATED SURFACE
WORK METHODOLOGY
• PREPARATION OF BASE
• The base slab to the bridge shall be thoroughly cleaned and will be made free of dust and other deleterious matter prior to laying hot bitumen mastic under no circumstances bitumen mastic be spread on a base containing a binder which will soften under high applicator temperatures.
Bitumen emulsion applied as primer on the concrete base at the rate of 0.3 to 0.35 kg/m² area.
PREPARATION OF BITUMEN MASTIC
• The bitumen of 10/20 penetration grade course aggregates, stone dust and time filler will be added as per show below:
• 10/20 grade bitumen 15%
• Coarse Aggregate 30%
• Coarse Stone Dust 13.5%
• Fine Sand 5.8%
• Lime Filler 35.70%
• With 2.21 g/cc lab density and these will be cooked and mixed in the mechanically agitated cooker as specified in MoRT&H cause 515.4.4
Spreading:
• The bitumen mastic will be transported from cooker to work spot by wheel borrow. the mastic asphalt shall be deposited directly on the prepared base immediately in front of the spreader where it is spreader where it is spread uniformly by means of wooden floats to the required 15mm thickness.
• Temperature of mix shall maintained 175ºC TO 210ºC.
• Laying shall be carried on alternate 1.00mtr wide layers.
• Mastic asphalt on the bridge deck shall level and finished separately.
• Dry aggregates shall be punched in o the mastic layer to enhance frication for next layer before the mix temperature cool down.
